Bob Reitemeier (born in Rochester, Minnesota, USA) is the Chief Executive of Essex Community Foundation, a post he took up in January 2012. He was previously Chief Executive of The Children’s Society between 2002 and 2011. At The Children's Society, Reitemeier commissioned and oversaw The Good Childhood Inquiry — an independent inquiry to examine the issues surrounding childhood today. The report was published on in February 2009 by Penguin. Reitemeier is a member of the Youth Justice Board, appointed by previous Home Secretary, John Reid in 2006. He has served on many national boards, including as Chair of the National Children and Young People's Workforce Partnership of the Department of Education, Deputy Chair of the Social Work Task Force — a joint unit across the Department for Health and the Department for Children, Schools and Families, and Chair of Children England. ==References==
